Having come back to this blog after some time, I realized how long it has been since I last posted! I apologize to anyone who may have been trying to read this blog.
I ran across a sad story this week of a Muslim family who has a baby. The baby's quality of life is in question. The parents want to keep the baby alive, but others disagree. It sounds like a case similar to that of Terri Schaivo approximately one year ago. The parents say that the child is responsive. I will try to post a link to the story soon.
Where are we as a society headed when we determine someone else's quality of life for them? or when the courts or doctors could have the ability to determine whether a family's child's life is worth saving? What about the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
